Dawn is Breaking...

Ah..

The feeling of hope on the horizon. There is nothing like the first breath of optimism following a lengthy dark night of the soul experience.

This glimmer, this taste of possibility is deeply nurturing to a soul that's been shrouded in darkness for so long. A quenching thirst is being fed and you can't help but turn your attention to the good that the universe provides. Isn't it funny how a little light can turn things around? Much is said of negativity, the bad 'vibes' that people seem to spread and how dangerous and contaminating darkness is when emanated by individuals - but what of the light?

Do we ever stop and think about those positive emanations that we give off to each other? Do we realize the worth of our goodness? Do we even know what light is?

The true potential and understanding of the light is revealed when you have experienced true darkness. Only when you are cold with depression, bitter from pain and defeated by circumstance, can you appreciate the worth of a random smile. The kind that makes your insides warm and temporarily just for a moment - your pain disappears.

I'm sharing this observation because it is my current experience. As a long time mystic and astrologer I imagined that I had the answers to everything and that anything can be 'reasoned' away philosophically. The planets are doing this, and the planets are doing that. How utterly foolish.

To cut a long story short I now appreciate and can recognize the power of a genuine smile. 

This is just the beginning - much more to come.
